Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
This building is one of the largest mosques in the world, accommodating up to 20,000 worshippers. The main prayer hall houses an impressive chandelier made of 600,000 crystal components. The mosque is also famous for its Persian carpet, which at the time of its creation was the largest hand-woven carpet in the world, covering an area of 4,343 square metres. Completed in 2001, the mosque is a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture, combining traditional Omani elements with innovative design.

Mutrah Souq
Mutrah Souq in Muscat is one of the oldest markets in the Arab world, with a history dating back over 200 years. Located right on the coast, the market is known for its labyrinthine structure of narrow alleys that are covered to protect visitors from the hot sun. Al Alam Royal Palace
Built in 1972, Al Alam Royal Palace serves as the official ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman. It is located in the historic part of Muscat and is surrounded by the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, which protect the entrance to the city's harbour. The palace is known for its distinctive blue and gold columns and modern architectural style, which contrasts with the surrounding historic buildings. Although not open to the public, the palace is often used for official state visits and ceremonies, making it an important symbol of the Omani monarch.
