Morocco – Between the Desert, the Mountains and the Ocean

Day 1 – Journey to Morocco

PRAGUE – MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA

A late afternoon arrival at Marrakesh Menara Airport will be an ideal start to the journey, with a private transfer to Essaouira. Your driver will meet you directly at the arrivals hall, will monitor any flight delays, and will take you straight to your accommodation.

The journey will take approximately 3 hours and will pass through picturesque Moroccan countryside before you reach the Atlantic coast in the evening.

Day 2 – The Medina of Essaouira

ESSAOUIRA

After breakfast, you will take a half-day guided walk through the medina of Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk along the fortified walls and narrow streets lined with craft workshops, and visit places such as the Skala de la Kasbah. The tour will also take you to the busy harbour and local markets, which reveal the town's rich history, culture and maritime character.

Lunch and the afternoon will be free for your own activities in this seaside resort.

Day 3 – The Argan Tree Countryside

ESSAOUIRA

A full-day excursion will take you to the countryside around Essaouira, home to the argan tree, a species that grows only in south-western Morocco. After a pleasant half-hour walk, you will reach a small Berber village, where you will be welcomed by a local family, members of a cooperative producing argan oil. You will learn about the traditional production process of this rare oil and see a live demonstration of its different processing stages. The oil is valued for both cosmetic and culinary use and is made using techniques passed down through generations.

While half of the group takes part in the production demonstration, the other half will walk through the argan forest, before everyone gathers for a home-cooked lunch with the family, offering a genuine experience of Berber hospitality.

Day 4 – Journey to Agafay, Cooking with Locals and Transfer to the Desert

ESSAOUIRA – AGAFAY

The morning will feature a cooking workshop at the El Khir association, located in a local neighbourhood about 20 to 30 minutes' walk from the medina, whose mission is to support women in difficult life situations. You will learn about Moroccan culinary art and share a moment of solidarity and sisterhood. Lunch will follow the workshop.

After lunch, you will walk back to the vehicle for a journey of approximately 3 hours to a luxury camp in Agafay, where you will arrive in the late afternoon.

The Agafay desert is an area of stone dunes located approximately 30 km south of Marrakech. Unlike the Sahara, it is not made of sand, but offers a striking moon-like landscape with views of the Atlas Mountains.

Day 5 – Scenic Drive Through Mountain Villages to Marrakech

AGAFAY – IMLIL – MARRAKECH

The best of Morocco in a single day will be offered by a scenic drive from the Agafay desert to the mountain village of Imlil, set in the High Atlas. You can look forward to mountain views, traditional Berber culture and fresh mountain air, before the journey continues to the bustling city of Marrakech.

This full-day transfer combines desert scenery, mountain panoramas and the energy of Morocco's Red City in a single day.

Day 6 – Marrakech, the Red City

Today will be dedicated to exploring the Red City. In the morning, you will take a guided walk through the southern part of the medina, which includes the famous Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and the Mellah (Jewish quarter), continuing on to the renowned Jemaa el-Fnaa square.

Day 7 – Free Day in Marrakech

MARRAKECH

A free day in Marrakech to explore the medina at your own pace and visit the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square with its snake charmers, dancers, storytellers and fire-eaters.

There will also be time to discover the city's grand souks and beautiful gardens, a historic city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 8 – Return to Prague

MARRAKECH – PRAGUE

Description: Depending on your departure time, you will be transferred directly to Marrakech Menara Airport.

Allow at least 2.5 hours for check-in and customs clearance.
